Initial Visit & Survey

At our first meeting, we will discuss your garden requirements, view your existing space and take some general photos. From these discussions, the brief is set and a site survey will be organised in order that the design can be produced accurately and to scale. These discussions will be confirmed in writing following the meeting and will include an estimate for the design.

Concept Plan

Once the fee proposal has been agreed, a site survey is arranged to detail boundaries, levels and any existing elements in relation to the house. From this survey, a concept plan is produced to include proposed structural trees, shrubs and planting areas and presented to you, together with supporting visuals where necessary. Once the concept plan has been reviewed and agreed, the design can then be finalised ready for the build.

Setting out & Construction Details

These drawings are produced from the final outline plan and enable Landscape Contractors to quote for the cost of setting out and building your new garden and also includes details of hard landscaping materials and lighting/irrigation requirements.

Planting Plans

The planting plans and schedules are an important and often under-estimated part of the design process, softening the hard landscaping and creating atmosphere in your garden. With your input, detailed plans are produced showing the location, spacing and quantities of tree, shrubs and plants required, including any existing to be retained. I can also source and supply the plants for your project and oversee the laying out and planting if required, to ensure your garden is finished to a high standard.
